About Me

I’m an Icelandic artist living on the Swinomish Reservation in Skagit County, WA.
Like all Icelandic children I played with shells, stones, feathers, rocks and bones. I guess I never stopped playing. I see hidden faces everywhere and draw them out of the wood, stones and shells. I’ve collected gifts from nature and family and friends have given me their collections as well, so I know that each rock, shell, stone and bone was seen as worthy by the people I love.
Turning their treasures over to me has been an honor and a humbling realization that they perceive my art as worthy. It makes them ‘smile’ they say and that makes me happy. I hope they bring a smile to you as well.
